Everything begins with consciousness and the ability to make art.
Since adolescence, I have carried a deep passion for art, a passion that has evolved enormously over the years. From a love of painting and drawing, to an enthusiasm for experimental photography and video, performance, installation, and self-publishing.
How did I get here?
Fran García
Starting with the Arts track in high school, I entered the Fine Arts program at the University of La Laguna in 2018. During the first year and a half, I took the required foundational courses such as painting, drawing, photography, and sculpture, alongside various theoretical subjects that trained me in art history and theory. From the second half of my second year, I began my specialization in Transdisciplinary Projects, where I explored other fields and techniques such as installation, performance, experimental video, self-publishing, and 3D modeling, among others.
Finally, in June 2022, I defended my Undergraduate Thesis, focusing on installation, performance, and photography, graduating with distinction.
Finally, after completing my undergraduate studies, in September 2022 I decided to pursue a Master’s in Artistic Production at the Universitat Politècnica de València, selecting courses focused also on installation, performance, video, self-publishing, and 3D modeling. During my year in the master’s program, I produced three self-published books, more than four experimental audiovisual pieces, and explored performance in public spaces for the first time on more than three separate occasions.
I defended my Master’s Thesis in July 2023, once again graduating with distinction.
And now !?
Since completing my studies, I have continued creating my own works and projects while seeking employment in the art sector. I am also a member of the Anemoia Association, being one of its founders and serving as the association’s secretary. Within the association, I work as an artist and designer, as well as managing social media, organizing events, giving talks and lectures, and curatorial activities.
I am interested in working as a visual or theoretical artist, as well as in editing, photography, and video art. I am also deeply interested in learning new techniques and exploring new creative spaces in art and design. Additionally, I am open to any position that allows me to maintain a balance between professional work and artistic practice.
Thank you !
